One Injured When Driver Ran Into Snow Plow near Zion Grove

A man was injured after he crashed his vehicle into a snow plow on Wednesday near Zion Grove.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred around 5:00pm on Green Mountain Road in North Union Township.

Troopers say during the snow storm, Robert Ormiston, 58, of Zion Grove, was driving northbound on Green Mountain Road and while trying to drive down a right downhill curve, lost control of his Hummer and slid into an oncoming snow plow being driven by Kerry Houser, 53, also of Zion Grove.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts but Ormiston was reported to have been suffered an injury and was to take himself to the hospital to be medically checked.

Houser was not injured.

State Police say Ormiston will be cited for the crash.
