Truck Driver Injured in Rollover on Interstate 81 On-Ramp near McAdoo

A truck driver was injured after rolling his rig on Saturday near McAdoo.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred on Saturday, December 12th, 2020 around 12:55pm, on the McAdoo on-ramp of Interstate 81.

Troopers say the crash occurred as Singh Gagamdeel was traveling southbound on the on-ramp when for unknown reasons traveled off the berm and struck a guiderail.  The rig continued along the berm until it eventually overturned onto it's right side.

The driver was injured and pinned under the rig and required rescuing by local firefighters.  After being rescued, he was taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.

The on-ramp was closed for approximately two hours until the vehicle was cleared from the scene.

Assisting police at the scene were McAdoo Fire Department, West End from Mahanoy City, Hazle Township Fire Company, Trescow Fire Company, and McAdoo EMS.

Hopes Towing and Kisenwether's Heavy Duty Towing assisted with clearing the vehicle.
