No Injuries Reported After Rollover Crash on Route 61 in Pottsville


Pottsville Police say nobody was injured in a crash on Route 61 in Pottsville on Wednesday.
According to Pottsville Chief of Police Richard Wojciechowsky, on Wednesday February 17, 2021 around 10:45am, Pottsville Police responded to the intersection of Claude Lord A Blvd and East Arch St. for a report of a motor vehicle accident with rollover in the roadway. 

Police said, a 2017 Subaru Forster operated by Robert Hock, 65, of Pottsville was traveling south on Claude A Lord Blvd approaching E Arch St when he attempted to make a left hand turn across traffic onto E Arch St and was struck by a 2008 Hyundai Accent operated by an 84-year-old Schuylkill Haven man who was traveling north on Claude a Lord Blvd.

Pottsville Fire assisted with cleanup and traffic control.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

No injuries were sustained as a result of the accident.

Hock is being cited by Ptlm Timothy Youse for the left hand turn violation.
