IN CUSTODY: Fugitive from Tamaqua Found with Fentanyl and Methamphetamine


A man that was wanted for kidnapping and firearms charges was taken into custody in West Hazleton on Saturday.

According to the West Hazleton Police, on Saturday, February 13, 2021, Alnadlo Perez, 33, of Tamaqua was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Luzerne County.

Police said a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle after multiple moving violations which led to finding that the passenger in the vehicle, Perez, was a wanted fugitive on kidnapping and firearms charges.

An investigation during the traffic stop led to the finding of 200 bags of suspected fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine inside the vehicle.

Perez was taken into custody by State Parole agents and will face additional narcotics charges from the traffic stop.

The West Hazleton Borough Police Department was assisted by officers from the Sugarloaf Township Police Department during this incident.
