Cressona Man Struck by Vehicle near Hamburg

A Cressona man was struck by a vehicle while he was walking along a roadway near Hamburg.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Hamburg, the incident occurred around 6:00am, on Friday, March 12th, 2021.

Police say Cutter Hunt, 19, of Cressona was walking around the area of Mountain Road at the entrance to the Red Robin Restaurant in Tilden Ridge Shopping Center, when he was struck by a Toyota FJ Cruiser being driven by Kyle Burkey, 28, of Hamburg.

Burkey was reportedly attempting to make a left turn into Red Robin and due to the dark light conditions and Hunt's dark clothing, was unable to see Hunt walking in the roadway.

Hunt was taken to the hospital via Hamburg EMS with non-life threatening injuries.
