UPDATE: Charges Pending for Ashland Man After Sunday Night's Crash

 

Update to previous story on Sunday evening's crash.

At 11:00pm, Sunday, emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of 1300 Block of Walnut Street, Ashland, for a multi-vehicle accident with injuries.

According to State Police at Frackville, a grey Mazda sedan was travelling west on Walnut Street at a high rate of speed when the driver veered to right striking two parked cars and eventually striking the rear of a parked car flipping it forward onto it's roof.

One person was in the flipped car and sustained injuries.  The victim was taken to the hospital via Washington Ambulance.

The driver of the grey Mazda sedan, Antonio Deangelo, 19, was not injured and was taken into custody by Pennsylvania State Police for suspicion of DUI, according to State Police.

In all, 6 vehicles were involved, 3 of them sustaining disabling damage.

Responding to the scene were the American Hose Company, Washington Fire Company, and Washington Ambulance along with Oakland Auto and Steve's Towing for removal of the vehicles.

Charges are currently pending for Deanglo.
