Woman Transported After Route 61 Crash near Frackville


A Saint Clair woman was injured in a crash along Route 61 near Frackville on Tuesday.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash happened on April 20th, 2021 around 1:40am along Route 61 near on ramp from Schuylkill Mall Road in Blythe Township.

Police say a 26 year old woman from Saint Clair traveled off the west side of the highway and went down an embankment approximately 25 to 30 feet.

Emergency personnel from the Good Will Hose Company in Frackville, Friendship Fire from Engelwood, and Altamont Fire Companies responded to the scene and extricated the woman from the vehicle.

The woman was transported via Schuylkill EMS with minor injuries.

State Police are still continuing to investigate the crash.
