A couple from Schuylkill County was recently scammed out of thousands of dollars.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on April 22nd, 2021, they were notified and began an investigation into a theft in Wayne Township.
Troopers say a man and woman were deceived by a person acting as a representative from the "Publishing Clearing House". The couple ended up being scammed out of $3,000.
State Police continue to investigate the incident.
