Man and Child Transported After Rolling Vehicle on Interstate 81 Overnight

Two people from York County suffered minor injuries when they rolled their car on Interstate 81 overnight.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred around 12:45am, in the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 near mile marker 129.5 in Mahanoy Township.

Troopers say the crash occurred when Rashid Weston, 33, of York was traveling south in a Mercury Milan, attempted to change lanes, and lost control when attempting to avoid another vehicle.

Weston's vehicle overturned and came to a final rest in the left lane.

Weston and 7 year old female that was in the car with him suffered minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital for evaluation.

Weston's vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

Shenandoah Ambulance and Ryan Township Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
