One Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash near Ringtown

One person was taken to the hospital after a three vehicle crash near Ringtown on Friday.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred on Ringtown Boulevard in the Pattersonville section of Union Township on Friday, June 25th, 2021 around 8:30pm.

State Police say Jeremy Pukavage, 28, of Ringtown was traveling north on Ringtown Boulevard in a Volkswagen Jetta when the vehicle in front of him, a Cadillac SRK driven by Candice Malacusky, 27, of Zion Grove, began to slow to allow a 3rd vehicle in front to make a turn.

Pukavage was unable to stop in time and rear ended Malacusky.  Pukavage's vehicle then crossed into southbound lane and struck Lisa Rhoads, 65, of Shenandoah as she travelled south in a Ford Fiesta.

All three vehicles sustained disabling damage in the crash and had to be towed from the scene.

Pukavage, Malacusky, and Malacusky's passenger were not injured but Rhoads suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital via Frackville Ambulance. Everyone was reported to have been wearing their seatbelts.

Ringtown Boulevard was closed in the area while the scene was cleared.
