A man from Pine Grove died in a crash in Pine Grove Township Sunday morning.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred around 11:45am, on Pleasant Hill Road near the intersection with Tregea Lane.
Troopers say Charles Williams, 28, of Pine Grove was traveling south in a Dodge Durango while Harvey Warner, 72, also of Pine Grove was traveling north.
State Police said Williams was traveling too fast for roadway conditions when he lost control, traveled into the oncoming lane, and struck Warner head-on.
Williams was transported to Hershey Medical Center for his injuries.
Life saving measures were conducted on Warner, however, he would succumb to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by a Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner.
Assisting at the scene were the Ravine Fire and Rescue, Suedeberg Fire, Pine Grove HHL, Hegins EMS, Tremont Ambulance, Pine Grove Community Ambulance, Ravine Fire, and Schuylkill County Coroner's Office.
