A pedestrian was struck along Route 895 over the weekend in Pine Grove.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, around 10:15pm, Sunday, Jeffery Rumpf, 63, of Pine Grove was on his hands and knees in the westbound lanes of Route 895.
Rebecca Houck, 26, of Reinholds, was traveling west on Route 895/East Wood Street when she struck Rumpf in the head with her Volkswagen Jetta.
Houck immediately stopped to help with Rumpf being transported to Geisinger with life threatening injuries.
It's not known why Rumpf was in the road on his hands and knees and he was also reported to be wearing dark colored clothing.
