Abandoned Home Collapses Overnight in Shenandoah

An abandoned home that has been leaning for years collapsed overnight in Shenandoah.

Around 10:15pm, Wednesday, emergency personnel were dispatched to the 500 Block of West Penn Street, Shenandoah for a structural collapse.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene to find the abandoned home at 521 West Penn Street, that has been deteriorating  and leaning for years, had collapsed and fell on another abandoned property next door.  It had also thrown debris into the property directly behind which is occupied.

No injuries were reported.

According to the parcel locator for Schuylkill County, the property is owned by John Kirkpatrick.
