State Police at Schuylkill Haven have released information on a second assault that occurred along Route 61 in Schuylkill County recently.
According to the Troopers, police reported to a 24 year old male that was assaulted on Monday, September 13th, 2021 around 7:25 along the northbound shoulder of Route 61 in Norwegian Township near Pottsville in the area of Ruby Tuesdays.
State Police say the investigation is ongoing, anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Schuylkill Haven Barracks at (570) 754-4600.
This is the second incident of this nature within the past 2 weeks. The other occurred on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021, around 6:45pm, when a 35 year old woman was assaulted along Route 61 south near the Cressona Mall with a metal pipe. No word if the incidents are related.
