Man Rescued in Duplex Fire in Tremont

A fire damaged two homes in Tremont late Wednesday.

Just after 10:00pm, Wednesday, emergency personnel responded to 30 North Crescent Street in Tremont for a house fire with entrapment.

The first crews arrived on scene to find a man trapped on the roof of his home with his dog and called in a working fire.

Fire units from numerous communities responded to assist.

The fire was marked under control within 15 minutes of arrival but the two connected homes sustained major damage.

Two pets were reported to have died in the fire.

A State Police Fire Marshal was requested and will investigate a cause on Thursday.
