Marian Catholic Holds Induction Mass for FBLA

On Thursday, October, 14, 2021, Marian Catholic High School held their Induction Mass for the 2021-2022 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Club. The club consists of 53 members — new and returning. This year’s FBLA officers were also installed during the Mass.

The club as a whole has big ambitions for this school year. The biggest goal they hope to accomplish is to bounce back after having to give up some of the fun last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Unlike the past two years, the future business leaders plan on attending the State Leadership Conference held in Hershey, Pennsylvania in April of 2022.

The future business leaders are very excited for what this year has to offer. They are especially excited to be participating in the newest challenge they will be taking on this year; the Champion Chapter Challenge. It consists of a series of tasks and challenges open to every chapter of FBLA by the National Future Business Leaders of America Administration; each of which grants a specific number of points upon completion. In order to rank, the club needs at least 5,000 points. Their goal is to surpass this number in order to “get Marian’s name on the map” as stated by their advisor, Mrs. Patricia Patton; Business Education Teacher, and Co-Advisor, Thomas Betterly; Marian Alumni. With the guidance of their advisors, Marian’s Future Business Leaders of America are determined to make this year the best one yet.
