Police Release Photo of 2nd Suspect in 2015 Pottsville Murder

An investigation by the Pottsville Police and the State Attorney General's office has led to the arrest of a man for a murder in Pottsville in 2015.  Law enforcement continue to seek a second suspect

Earlier this year, a Grand Jury conducted an investigation into the March 2nd, 2015 shooting and murder of Dat Huynh, 32, at 227 West Norwegian Street in Pottsville

That investigation led to Adriell Chambers, 42, of Minersville and Phong Tran, 41, of Philadelphia being charged with criminal homicide for the murder.

Huynh was found dead in the home with a gunshot wound to the head and torso, with an autopsy being done and the matter of death being ruled homicide.

According to court papers obtain from Magisterial District Judge James K. Reiley's office, Chambers was taken into custody on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 for the murder.

Chambers was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison without bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021.

According to Pottsville Police Chief Richard Wojciechowsky, "A large amount of us have been involved in this investigation at one point or another and, most recently Captain Kirk Becker and Sgt. Mark O’Toole worked closely with the PA Attorney General’s office to earn a grand jury indictment and subsequent arrest warrants. We are very thankful to the AG’s office for collaborating with us during this process for a case that remained open and active until solved."

Wojciechowsky says State Agents are actively attempting to serve the arrest warrant on Tran and anyone with information on his current location is asked to call his/her local law enforcement agency.
