Port Carbon Man Flown with Serious Injuries After Motorcycle Crash

 

A Port Carbon man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash early Friday morning.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill haven, the crash occurred around 2:50am on Pike Street in Port Carbon.

Police said Brandon Huntzinger, 29, of Port Carbon was driving his Harley Davidson south on Pike Street in the area of Mill Street when he lost control and went off the right side of the roadway. 

After leaving the highway, he struck a tree throwing him from the motorcycle.  The bike continued and also struck a utility pole.

Huntzinger was flown to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest with serious injuries.

The crash also knocked power out to the area for a period of time.

State Police say they were assisted at the scene by Schuylkill EMS, Palo Alto Fire,  Life Flight, and PPL.
