Minersville Woman Attempts to Escape Police Custody

A Minersville woman, who was taken into custody for a trespassing incident, is facing additional charges for attempting to escape police.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on September 29th, 2021 around 7:00pm, Rebekah Lipinski, 43, of Minersville was taken into custody after she refused to the leave the M&Q Packaging on Earl Street, in Schuylkill Haven.

Lipinski was ordered to leave the property by staff as well as police.

While she was in custody at the PSP Schuylkill Haven barracks, she was able to slip off her handcuffs and attempted to escape.

Troopers say during the escape attempt to continued to resist arrest.

Along with the criminal trespass charges, she now faces escape and resisting arrest charges.

Lipinski was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $25,000(10%) cash bail.
