Cressona Man Swindled Out of $4,000 through Email Scam

The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a theft by deception that left a man out of thousands of dollars.

According to Troopers from the Schuylkill Haven Barracks, a 70 year old man from Cressona reported to State Police on October 29th that he had been scammed through an email advertisement.

The email which was from "Full Throttle Energy Drinks", made the victim believe that he could be compensated by the company if he placed stickers on his vehicle to advertise for the company.

The victim was scammed out of $4,000 in the process.

State Police are still investigating this incident and are asking anyone else who has information or may have also been a victim to this scam to contact the Schuylkill Haven Barracks by calling (570) 754-4600.
