Just after 9:30am, fire crews were called to a working fire at Highwood USA in Hometown, Rush Township.
The original dispatch came for 87 Tide Road for pallets on fire that were spreading to plastic. The first chief to respond on the radio reported a large column of smoke and issued a 2nd alarm as well as an air monitoring team.
As crews arrived on scene, they reported multiple propane tanks exploding and also called for a 3rd alarm.
