Woman Transported After Being Burned in Incident at Frackville Supermarket

A woman was transported after an incident inside the Frackville Boyers Market on Monday evening.

Around 6:45pm, Monday, Frackville Borough Police and EMS were called to the market on West Oak Street for a report of a woman injured after an explosion.

Frackville Borough Police arrived on scene to find a woman with burns to her hands.

Police said two women had been filling a water bottle at the filling station inside the store when something ignited.  It was not clear what ignited or caused the incident.

Witnesses that were inside the store at the time of the incident reported hearing a loud bang.

Nobody else inside the store was injured and the store continued operating as normal.

Frackville Police are continuing to investigate the incident and said they will be reviewing security camera recordings.
