North Schuylkill's Ryley Schwalm Signs Letter of Intent to Duquesne University


On Thursday morning, Ryley Schwalm, a senior at North Schuylkill signed her letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Duquesne University.

Schwalm is a member of the Spartans' Cross County and Track and Field Team.  She was also a member of the 2021 women's PIAA Championship team.

During the signing, Ryley was joined by her mother, Rose Schwalm, brother, Zackary Schwalm, and Aunt and Uncle, Anna and Derek Flail.

"I'm really excited to start at a new school and start fresh", Ryley said about going to Duquense.

Cross Country and Track and Field Jordan Bridy said "Coaching Ryley for the past three years has been a privilege. Not only is she a stellar athlete, she is also a wonderful person with a great personality. She will be missed!"

"Ryley is the epitome of dedication and sacrifice. She takes direction well and is always willing to push past her comfort zones. She has worked incredibly hard to excel as a runner and as I always tell my team… hard work pays off. I could not be happier for Ryley and all her accomplishments and successes, including her most recent athletic scholarship to Duquesne University! She is so deserving of all of the wonderful opportunities that lie ahead of her." Bridy added.
