CARES Act Funds Still Available for Schuylkill County Businesses

Earlier this week, NEPA Alliance, who has partnered with the Schuylkill County Commissioners to distribute funds, has announced there is still CARES Act Funding available for County for-profit businesses.

According to NEPA Alliance, CDBG-CV Relief is available for projects in Schuylkill County.  The funds for those projects must be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the Coronavirus.  The program allows for loan to grant awards up to $15,000.

In a press release, Chairman of the Schuylkill County Board Of Commissioners Barron L. “Boots” Hetherington said, “The Schuylkill County Commissioners in conjunction with our partners at NEPA Alliance are pleased to announce that we have been able to award 22 CDBG-CV loans/grants across the county totaling $253,550. NEPA Alliance is still working on additional applications and there is still no deadline for applications.”

For-profit businesses in Schuylkill County interested in applying for this program should visit nepa-alliance.org/cdbg for program guidance and application or contact Steve Ursich at NEPA Alliance at 570-891-4649 or sursich@nepa-alliance.org.
