The driver of a vehicle was flown with serious injuries after a crash on the Gordon Nagle Trail early Thursday.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred around 1:45am on January 6th, 2022 on the Gordon Nagle Trailer in North Manheim Township just south of SPCA Road.
Troopers say Joshua Smith, 41, of Schuylkill Haven was driving a Mazda 6 south when he ran off the roadway into an embankment.
Prior to Police and EMS arriving, Smith fled the scene but was later located by Schuylkill EMS members. He was flown to an area hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.
State Police also charged him with driving under the influence.
