State Police Investigating Attempted Burglary at CVS on Route 61 in Berks County

The Pennsylvania State Police at Hamburg are attempting to identify an individual that attempted to burglarize a CVS in Berks County over the weekend.

According to Troopers, the incident began around 2:50am, on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022 when police were dispatched to CVS, located at 1054 Shoemaker Avenue in Perry Township, Berks County, for a reported motion alarm.

When police arrived, they found that someone used a crowbar and bolt cutters to gain access to the store.

Surveillance video showed the suspect was targeting an ATM but was unsuccessful and fled before police arrived.

The suspect involved is described as being 30 to 50 years in age, thin build, broad nose, and was wearing a black beanie, face covering, black jacket, yellow gloves, black athletic 3/4 length pants, and black Nike athletic shoes.
