The Fire and Ice Winterfest is scheduled for this weekend at Sweet Arrow Lake Park.
Roast hotdogs over an open fire, enjoy a homemade ice cream-making demonstration and compete in the Fire Hot Chili Cook-off. Musical entertainment will be provided by Jesse Wade. Splash the Clown will be creating balloon animals. There also will be a healthy hot chocolate dream presentation by nutrition education adviser Kim Woodford from Penn State Cooperative Extension.
Experience an ice dive by the Sch. Haven Dive Rescue & Recovery Team (weather permitting).
Advance registration is required to participate in the chili competition by calling Diakon at 570-624-3018. Admission is free but there is a cost for some of the activities. All ages are welcome.
