Girardville St. Patrick's Day Parade Still On for 2022

Girardville Parade officials announced on Wednesday that the 2022 Edition of the St. Patrick's Day is still on for this March.

After being cancelled the past 2 years due to COVID, this year's parade will take place on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at 12:00pm.

The parade's theme is "Salute to Our Veterans" which willl celebrate the Veteran's and their organizations in the borough.

According to the parade's web site, the grand marshal will be Rev. Lt. Col. Edward Coyle, a native of Girardville and national chaplain of the Catholic War Veterans.

The Girardville St. Patrick’s Day Parade committee is seeking floats, vendors and participants for the parade, which will feature five divisions and at least 16 bands with numerous additional floats, antique vehicles and special entries.

An outdoor celebration will follow the parade at the Hibernian House, Beech and Line streets. Vendors or organizations interested in participating in the parade — marching units and/or floats — may register online at www.girardvilleirishparade.com or by calling Joseph Wayne at 570-590-1826 or Joanne Kitsock at 570-617-0400.

The announcement comes after Pottsville, Schuylkill County's other St. Patrick Day Parade, confirmed that their parade is cancelled for 2022.
