Two Injured After Driver Cut Off by Unknown Vehicle on Route 61 near Orwigsburg

Two people were injured in a crash on Route 61 on Thursday afternoon after a driver cut off another vehicle near Orwigsburg.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred around 2:00pm in the northbound lanes of Route 61 in North Manheim Township in the area of J. Bertolet Volkswagen and Bums Rush Restaurant.

Troopers say Scott Hall, 54, of Hamburg was driving a GM Savana north on Route 61 when he was being passed by an unknown vehicle in the left lane.

This unknown vehicle reportedly attempted to move to the right lane cutting off Hall causing him to swear to the right off the roadway and into a tree.

Hall and his passenger, Tricia Wyman, 33, of Frackville sustained injuries in the crash.  Wyman was reported to have sustained serious injuries.

No vehicle description was provided to police about the other vehicle.  Troopers are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the Schuylkill Haven Barracks at (570) 754-4600.
