Parade of Power and Dirt Track Festival Roar into Minersville

This past Saturday,  the roar of Big Diamond Speedway moved from Forestville to Minersville for the first ever Parade of Power and Dirt Track Racing Festival.

Saturday's event was organized by Big Diamond Speedway track owners Jake and Jasmine Smulley, in conjunction with the Minersville Lions Club.

The event featured a racecar parade through town, followed by a car show, food trucks, DJ and remote control truck racing.

2022 will mark the 50th season of racing at the Big Diamond Speedway.

Big Diamond's Season Opener will take place Friday, April 8th, but practices are being offered for drivers on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022.

Once practice is over, all eyes will turn to the opener of season #50 set for Friday night April 8th as part of Spin City night at Big Diamond. There will be extra money on the line as the Insigner Performance Modifieds will race for $4,000 to win. In the USS Achey Crate Sportsman class, $1,000 will go to the winner and not be left out, the Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunners will race for a first-place prize of $400.
