Julia Silfies
, 82, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, April 10th, at home.
Born in Pottsville on December 26, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Joseph & Julia (Worchick) Rodnick.

She was the widow of Harold M. Silfies, Sr. who passed away March 28, 2004.
In addition to her parents and husband, Julia is also preceded in death by two sons: Mark, & James O'Brein, infant son, Joshua, and three sisters: Catherine Strenkoski, Rose Spancake, & Josephine Brozana.

She was a member of Bible Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, Schuylkill Haven.

She was a homemaker most of her life.

Julia is survived by five sons: John O'Brien, of Schuylkill Haven; Michael, husband of Jane O'Brien, of Pottsville; Harold M. Silfies, Jr., husband of Sofiya, of Schuylkill Haven; Christopher Silfies, & Joshua Silifies, both of Palo Alto. She is also preceded in death by four daughters: Debra, wife of Doug Schwenk, of Schuylkill Haven; Brenda, wife ofEric Sr. Schwenk, of Pottsville; Michele, wife ofBrian Docherty, of Cressona; and Melissa, wife of Jerry Murphy, of Schuylkill Haven. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mary Rodnick, a brother, Joseph Rodnick, both of Marlin.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 13th at Bible Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, Schuylkill Haven with Rev. Douglas Schwenk officiating.

A viewing will be held at church from 9:30 AM until the time of service.

Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

At the family's request, memorial donations in Julia's memory may be forwarded to Bible Tabernacle Pentecostal Church High & William Sts. Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.

Richard T. Southam, 76, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Friday, April 8th, at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown.

Born in Tamaqua on July 19, 1945, he was a son of the late Leo Wagner & Elizabeth T. (Huntzinger) Dreher.

He late wife, Sharon (Weaver) Southam passed away November 14, 2021.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is also preceded in death by son, Richard G. Southam, and two sisters: Elizabeth Hosler, and Sharon Kutz.

Richard attended Pottsville Area High School.

He was previously employed by Jetson Direct Mail, Hamburg, as a machine electrician.

Richard is survived by two daughters, Richelle, wife of Paul Sementilli, and Crystal Schaeffer, wife of William Oliver, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Services will be privately held at the convenience of the family.

Dixie Diane Peiffer
, 78 of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday morning, April 10, in Cedar Haven, Lebanon.

Born on November 8, 1943, in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Norman R Sr. and Olga V. Roth Miller.

Dixie was of the Lutheran Faith. She was a graduate of Pine Grove High School and had been employed as a bookkeeping aid for the former Fox-Knapp Mfg. in Pine Grove.
She loved reading her Bible and loved her cats and dogs.

A Brother, John Miller preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband of 40 years, John F. Peiffer, a Daughter, Cindy wife of Steve Zimmerman of Mt. Carmel, three grandchildren, LeighAnn Wetzel, Dwayne Wetzel, Jr., Amy Russ; eight great grandchildren, Jonathan Helt, Jr., Ziva Higgins, Zion Higgins, Leila Kroh, LileighAnn Kroh, Jamison Leese, Clayden Wetzel, and Violet Wetzel; Eight sisters Marian wife of Tom Fenner of Ohio; Susan Miller, Darlene wife of Ralph Haldeman both of Pine Grove, Donna Reichert of Schuylkill Haven, Joann Kocher, Mary Shive, Bonnie wife of Larry Bender all of Pine Grove, Diane Miller of Landingville; two Brothers, Norman & wife Brenda Miller of Pine Grove and Gary Miller & Michele Cicero of Schuylkill Haven; Nieces and Nephews.

Services will be held in H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Earl Hertzog officiating. There will be a viewing on Thursday, April 14, in the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., from 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment will follow in the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.

The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc. 139 S. Tulpehocken St. Pine Grove, PA 17963, in her memory.
