Karen L. Wagner
, age 64, of Frackville, passed away Wednesday afternoon at her home. 

Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital she was the daughter of the late Charles and Betty (Morgan) Budwash. She was a 1974 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and received an associate degree in accounting from Mc Cann School of Business. Karen was the first female firefighter in Schuylkill County having served then with the Humane Fire Company in Mahanoy City. She was a member of the Friendship Fire Company in Frackville and enjoyed picking mushrooms. She had been employed as a gate attendant at McCarran Airport in Las Vegas, worked at Wegman's at High Ridge Industrial Park and last worked for and retired from the housekeeping department at Broad. Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation in Frackville. 

She is survived by her husband of 16 years Laurence "Red" Wagner, a son Edward Chescattie of Trenton, brothers and sisters Joan Klatka and her husband John of Weston Place, Charles and his wife Maureen of Morea, Betty Malacusky and her companion Cyril Kufro of Fountain Springs, Cheryl Souchack of Trenton, Kathy Sheirich and her husband Lester of Pine Grove, Gary and his wife Alice of Pine Grove and Terri Marowski of Grier City. 

She is also survived by nieces and nephews. 

Private services will be held from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City.

Kai Patrick Hottenstein, precious baby boy to parents Julia Chaney and Brandon Hottenstein, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2022, eight short days after his birth. This tiny angel will never be forgotten and will be greatly missed.

No services are planned at this time.

Private arrangements are entrusted to E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc, 655 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Robert Engleman, Sr., 81, of Pottsville, died Friday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.

He born November 22, 1940 in Pottsville, a son of the late William F. Sr., and Rachel Simmons Engleman.

He was a graduate of Pottsville High School and later served in the Army Reserves.

Prior to retiring Bob was employed by Yellow Freight.

Bob was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, Crimson Tide Football Association, Teamsters Retiree Club, a life member West End Hose Fire Co, Pottsville, a 50 year member of Pulaski Lodge #216 F&AM, Rajah Shriners, Valley of Bloomsburg AASR, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, High 12.

He was preceded in death by by his wife Beatrice "Bea" Scanlon Engleman on Nov 21, 2013; 3 brothers, Leroy, Kenneth, and William F. Engleman, Jr.

Surviving are his son Robert Engleman, Jr., Pottsville; a brother, Carl Engleman, Hamburg. Nieces and Nephews

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Rev. Chris Rothharpt officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30AM until the time of services. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Bob be made to Pulaski Lodge #216 F&AM C/O 311 Fleet St. Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
