Firearm, Meth, THC Edibles, and Narcotic Mushrooms Seized in Pottsville Drug Bust




Pottsville Police made an arrest and drug bust on Friday as part of an investigation.

On Friday April 29, 2022 Pottsville Police were conducting special investigations that led to a residence search at 519 East Arch Street. The search uncovered a DPMS Panther Arms A-15 firearm found to have been illegally possessed by Antwain Sharrell Davender, 38, of Pottsville along with 140 grams of methamphetamine, approximately two (2) pounds of marijuana, nineteen (19) packets of THC edibles, a large bag of narcotic mushrooms (Psilocybin), over $800 in U.S currency, a digital scale and live marijuana plants.

A criminal complaint was completed by Det. Joseph Krammes charging Davender with one felony count of a person not to possess a firearm, 2 felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, 3 counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Davender was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Dave Plachko, who set Davender’s bail at $250,000.00 cash and Davender was then incarcerated in the Schuylkill County Prison.

The case involving the purchase and transfer of the firearm is being pursued with the assistance of the FBI.
