Photos from Friday night's high school football matchup between North Schuylkill and Mount Carmel.
This decades old coal region rivalry continued Friday where between the two districts separated by the Northumberland/Schuylkill County line.
Both teams used their running games and strong defenses to battle back and forth on the grid iron.
Mount Carmel led most of the game but the Spartans would stay on their heels until a 4th quarter interception would seal the win for the Tornadoes.
In the end, Mount Carmel took home the win, 25-17.
