George Richard Weider, 79, of Orwigsburg, passed away Friday, August 12th, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

George was born in Orwigsburg on October 28, 1942, a son of the late Eva M (Schoffner) and Burton Weider.

He was the husband of Frieda (Somers) Weider. They were married 55 years on July 29.

George attended Orwigsburg High School and he worked as a welder at Pennsylvania Steel for over 35 years. He was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandsons beside him on his boat. He was a loving husband, father and Poppy. His quiet love and support of his family was endless, and will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
George is survived by his wife, Frieda; a daughter, Stephanie, wife of J.D. Barton; a son, Michael Weider, husband of Melanie; grandchildren Tyler, Eli and Emily; a brother, Bruce; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Jean Bitzer and brothers, Donald and Keith.

As per George's wishes, services are private and entrusted to Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Orwigsburg.

Joseph M. Lango, 74, of Schuylkill Haven, formerly of Mechanicsville, passed away on Friday at home.

Born on March 18, 1948 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (nee Seminavage) Lango. He was a 1967 graduate of Pottsville High School and later attended Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ. He was a Coast Guard veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, having served in Patrol Boats. He later worked as a professional fire fighter in Asbury Park, NJ before returning to Schuylkill County. He was last employed as a groundskeeper at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

He served as Mayor of Mechanicsville for 17 years.

He was a member of Faith Church, Orwigsburg. He was also a member and past State Commander of AMVETS, a member and current Adjutant of the Schuylkill Haven American Legion, the Four Chaplains Memorial Foundation, and the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Nam Knights Motorcycle Club.

Joe is survived by his wife, the former Darlene Zeiler Tassone, with whom he would have celebrated 31 years of marriage on August 31; two daughters, Cori Ann Lango (wife, Kristen), New Hope, and Tara Lee Lango Valles (husband, Brock), Toms River, NJ; two stepsons, Louis Tassone, Jr., Schuylkill Haven, and Michael Tassone (wife, Marjorie), Shenandoah; fifteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

The family will accept visitors at Faith Church, 1168 Centre Turnpike Orwigsburg, on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until services at 10:00 A.M. Interment with military honors will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, 75 Memorial Drive, Schuylkill Haven. Dutcavich Funeral Home has charge.

Patricia A. Blickley, 80 years of age, of Yetten Circle Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Pottsville Rehabilitation Ctr. in Pottsville, Pennsylvania.

Born Friday, March 27, 1942 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, she is survived by; daughter, Carol Kester; son, David Blickley; brother, Steve Sweigert; grandchild, Elizabeth Kester (David Csernak), and great grandsons, Joshua, and Matthew Csernak.

Pat retired from Deka Battery, and previously worked at I.C.I. Industries in Reynolds for many years. She was handy around her home, and enjoyed gardening, decorating, and cooking.

Pat would like to extend a special thank you to Tom & Susie Knepper for their exemplary care and love, and to those friends who inquired about her by phone "Thank You"

Maryanne P. Mulhall
, 81, of Minersville, passed away Wednesday, August 10th, peacefully, with family present.

Maryanne was born in Mount Carmel, on September 22, 1940, a daughter of the late Rebecca (Horning) and Raymond Green.

She was the widow of John J Mulhall. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Minersville and the Order of the Eastern Star, Orwigsburg Chapter. She was formerly employed in the banking industry with her last being a Manager at Schuylkill Savings & Loan. Maryanne enjoyed: reading, baking, candy making, painting/drawing, gardening and camping.

Maryanne is survived by a daughter, Michele L Mulhall, a son, Robert Mulhall,

She is also survived by a brother, Raymond, husband of Pat Green and a sister, Darlene, wife of Ray Dolzani. She is also survived by Grandson, Edward Mulhall, and a Grand dog Maci. All are respectfully invited to attend a Visitation 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 20th at the Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville. A Religious Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM with Pastor Karen Paquette officiating. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Pa. 1320 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or the United Methodist Church of Minersville. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.
