Former Philadelphia Eagle to Make Appearance at Special Olympics Flag Football Game


A former Philadelphia Eagle will make special guest appearance on Saturday morning at the first ever Special Olympics Flag Football Game.

The game will take place Saturday morning at 9:00am at the auxiliary soccer field at Penn State Schuylkill in Schuylkill Haven where the Special Olympics team will take on students from the Blue Mountain School District.

The Special Olympics team is coached by Jordan Green and Mark Mamrosh.

Coach Green said the games are all about team building, having fun, and building confidence.

A special guest for Saturday's event will be Freddie Mitchell, former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver.

Mitchell will be at the game to talk to the players.

After the game, a special meet-and-greet will be held at Fighter's Heaven for the public to take photos and meets with Mitchell.

The public is invited to come out and cheer on the players and meet Mitchell.

The team's full 10 week schedule through November is posted below with openings for any organizations or teams that are interested in playing the team.
