Shenandoah Valley Band Alumni Return to Play for Hometown Crowd

Shenandoah Valley continued their annual alumni band tradition.

Every school year, for one game, past members return for a special night and performance at Veteran's Stadium.

The evening began with a parade through the borough that starts at the JW Cooper Community Center, the district's former high school and elementary, and proceeds to the stadium.

Approximately 120 alumni returned to play along with the current Blue Devil Band this year.

The band played 4 songs for the hometown crowd at half time which included Holiday, The Horse, Bye Bye Bye, and Basin Street Blues.

This year's band was directed by Kimberly Brown from Class of 1996.

The Color Guard and Flag Coordinators were Tara Davidson, Class of 1982, and Kim Major, Class of 1985.

Majorette Coordinator was Norma Barlow, Class of 1975.

Cheerleader coordinator was Sharlaine Shustack, Class of 1987.

Percussion coordinator was Mike Timko, Class of 1989.

Band coordinator was Eric James, Class of 2010.
