North Schuylkill Presents Check to Geisinger Health Foundation from Pink Out game

On Monday, representatives from the North Schuylkill School District presented a check in the amount of $4,683 to the Marie Lamey Fund at Geisinger Health System’s Woodbine Clinic in Danville.
The money was raised through North Schuylkill’s annual Pink Out football game, which occurred this year on October 14th, versus Palmerton Area. Megan Bane and Claire Kowalonek, who led the project, raised the money through t-shirt sales, wristband sales, along with donations.

The donation will assist women with breast disease, and the nurses who care for them. Marie’s fund will provide medical and non-medical assistance for patients, including mammography screenings. All support stays close to home, benefitting women who live and work in the Geisinger Health System service area.
