Schuylkill County Police Reports - 12/01/2022

       

 A collection of police reports received from Schuylkill County law enforcement.

WEST PENN TOWNSHIP - On Tuesday September 27, 2022, the West Penn Township Police were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident. 

Upon arrival, it was discovered a GMC Terrain hit a parked tractor trailer, split in half, and caught fire. The driver of the GMC, Jasmine Miller, 23, of Breinigsville, admitted to smoking marijuana, falling asleep, and hitting the tractor trailer, which was parked approximately 20 feet off the roadway, in a parking lot located at the Thunderhead Lodge along West Penn Pike in West Penn Township.

Miller appeared to be under the influence and drug paraphernalia was in plain view in the GMC. 

Miller admitted to emergency crew that she had drugs in her possession. She was transported to the hospital via ambulance. Upon arrival, hospital security found additional drug paraphernalia which was then turned over to police. 

Blood results confirmed that she was under the influence of a controlled substance. Jasmine Miller is charged with Driving Under the Influence, Reckless Driving, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, and other charges.

FRACKVILLE - Troopers are investigating the theft of Catalytic Converters from a work site.

Sometime between November 3rd, 2022, and November 4th, 2022, someone cut and stole a catalytic converter from a Ford that was a work vehicle owned by Quandel.

MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - According to Troopers, police responded to a warehouse on Park Place Road on Saturday, November 26th, 2022, for a criminal trespass complaint.

Police say someone forced entry into the warehouse at a loading bay door and rummaged through items inside.

The victim does not believe any items were removed.  State Police continue to investigate.

CRESSONA - According to Troopers, police responded to Werner Lumber Ace Hardware on Wednesday, November 16th, 2022, for a report of a burglary.

Police say someone entered the store through an unlocked door, then forced their way into a garage area and stole $150 in cash.
