Francis J. “Buster” Mallick, 72, of Frackville died unexpectedly Friday afternoon while hunting.

Born in Butler Township, September 12, 1950, he was a son of the late Fritz and Elynor Trinkle Mallick. He was a member of the last class to graduate from Frackville High Scholl, class of 1968.

Francis worked as an autobody repairman for over 30 years with Vito Rinaldi Chevrolet, Shenandoah and later worked for Yeisley Auto body repair Pottsville and T&T Auto Repair, Minersville part-time.

He was a skilled craftsman having restored and fixed guns, building cabinets and renovating his home. He was always available to help those in need.

Buster was active with the Altamont Fire Company; served as a former Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief and was Treasurer for many years. He was a trustee with the South End Field and Stream, Frackville and past president; current Secretary and Treasurer of the Buckbusters Gun Club and was a member of Broad Mountain Archery Club. He volunteered with the Frackville Ambulance and was a certified EMT.

Francis and his wife Carol A. Dozitsky Mallick were married 48 years on December 14, he is also survived by his two sons; Christopher and Steven Mallick, both of Frackville; grandchildren; Serenity and Seth Mallick; a sister; Judy Frable, Lehighton; his faithful dog Tootsie; cousins, nieces and nephews.

Religious Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, December 16, at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville, with Rev. Jeff Merwine, Pastor of Trinity Evangelical Church, as celebrant. Relatives and Friends are invited to visitation from 9 to 12 noon at the funeral home Friday morning. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery Frackville.

Jane Elizabeth Houser - Fryer
, 93 years of age of Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at Rosewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania.

Born Sunday, March 17, 1929 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late, Calvin, and Margaret (Balliet) Hartman. Jane was also predeceased by; first husband, Carl R. Houser; second husband, Harold B. Fryer, Sr.; sisters, Ruth, and Cora Hartman; brother, Bruce Hartman.

Surviving are sons, Glenn Houser and his wife Jean, Rodney D. Houser and his wife Fern, daughters, Sandy Irwin wife of Michael, Terri Fisher wife of Vernon; brother, Paul Hartman; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.

A Tamaqua High School graduate, Jane retired from the former Atlas Powder Co, of Reynolds. Jane enjoyed baking, and scrap booking. She was a former member of Trinity U.C.C. of Tamaqua, and Welcome Methodist Church of Landingville.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday December 15, 2022 at 11 o'clock A.M.. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.

Interment will be in Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania..
