RYAN TOWNSHIP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, this crash occurred on Friday, March 3, 2023, around 6:05pm on Interstate 81 southbound near mile marker 128.3.

Troopers say Ludmila Mead, 38, of Shavertown, was driving her Hyundai Santa Fe southbound on Interstate 81 when she lost control, swerved and struck a guide rail. 

Her vehicle crossed both southbound lanes and came to a rest on the shoulder.

The vehicle sustained disabling front-end damage.  No injuries were reported.

Mead will be cited for the crash.

BUTLER TOWNSHIP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, this crash occurred on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 around 12:15pm on Interstate 81 northbound near mile marker 121.7.

Troopers say Enmanuel Bobadilla, 21, of Minersville was traveling north when he lost control of his vehicle, swerved to the left, then swerved into the right shoulder.

Bobadilla's Mitsubishi Lancer struck an embankment causing the vehicle to roll onto its driver's side.

The vehicle sustained disabling front-end damage.

Bobadilla sustained minor injuries from the crash and was treated at the scene by Shenandoah Ambulance.

The Good Will Fire Department from Frackville also assisted at the crash.

Bobadilla was cited for the crash as well as driving with a suspended or revoked license, driving without a certificate of inspection, and not driving at a safe speed.

BLYTHE TOWNSHIP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, this crash occurred on Route 61 just north of Darkwater Road on March 7, 2023, around 5:40am.

Troopers say Christian Frantz, 26, of Pottsville was traveling northbound and was driving too fast for conditions, and lost control of his Volkswagen Golf.

The vehicle went off the roadway, struck a ditch, rolled, and struck a tree.

Frantz was not injured in the crash but his vehicle sustained disabling damage.

Frantz was also cited for not driving his vehicle at a safe speed.
