Quandel Concrete presents “Topless Night” at Big Diamond Speedway on Friday

This Friday night May 26th will be “Topless Night” at Big Diamond Speedway sponsored by our good friends at Quandel Concrete.

Quandel Concrete joined the family this season at Big Diamond to sponsor the powerful 358 modifieds as they race towards the Quandel Concrete modified championship.

Quandel Concrete is ASI and PennDOT Certified and has been in business for over 75 years serving the concrete industry. Quandel Concrete is a supplier of Redi-Mix Concrete, Colored Concrete, Retaining Wall Blocks and many other Concrete accessories in the Minersville, PA area. For more information on Quandel Concrete, please visit their website www.quandelconcrete.com or give Chris a call at 570-544-2261.

This Friday night, Quandel Concrete is the presenting sponsor for the annual “Topless Night” at Big Diamond. All divisions with the exception of the Roadrunners will race without roofs and side windows on Friday night. This night has proved to be a crowd favorite as the fans get a better view of their favorite drivers as they twist and turn their powerful race cars on the track.

Duane Howard has been the man to beat on topless night, winning both times the modifieds have gone topless. Howard aboard the Getz Motorsports No. 15G is also a two-time winner this season having won last Friday night. On Friday, the Quandel Concrete Modifieds will race 30-laps for $5,000 to win first place prize. One-time winner in 2023, Brett Kressley is the current modified points leader and will be looking for his first topless win on Friday night.

The USS Achey Crate 602 Sportsman division will also race for some extra cash this Friday. Their 20-lap feature race will pay $1,500 to the winner. The two topless races run by the sportsman have been won by Logan Watt (2021) and Danny Buccafusca (2022). Buccafusca was the winner last Friday night and would like nothing better than to win his second feature in a row. Jordan Henn leads the way in the race for the USS Achey Crate 602 championship by a slim margin over Logan Watt.

Jax Yohn has become the driver to beat in the Big Creek Concrete Crate 602 Rookie division having won his third race of the season last week over a fast-improving Danica Getz. With his three wins, Yohn is the leader of the rookie points battle.

It has been the Chuck Fayash and Alex Schoffstall show all season long at Big Diamond Speedway in the Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunner class. Fayash and Schoffstall both have multiple wins, and a deep rivalry has developed between the two drivers as they race for supremacy in the always exciting Roadrunner class.

This Friday night will be the first visit of the year for the Gene Latta Ford Central PA Legends cars who always put on a great display of racing for the Big Diamond faithful.
