Andrew F. Sodano, Jr., 80, of Auburn, passed away Monday, May 29th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on November 17, 1942, he was the son of the late Antoinette (Tomasetti) and Andrew F. Sodano, Sr.

Andrew was the husband of the late Barbara M. (Lucas) Sodano, who passed in August of 2010. He is currently survived by his wife Barbara J. (Philyaw) Sodano, whom he married on July 30th, 2013.

Following graduation from barber's college in Philadelphia, PA, Andrew worked as a barber for much of his life. He was last employed by Ned's Barber Shop in Mount Union, PA. He also held several positions in the construction industry.

Andrew was a member of the National Rifle Association.

An avid outdoorsman, Andrew enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Andrew is survived by four daughters, Angela Lieberman, Susan Wagner, Donna Wheeler, Marie Dewey; a son, Andy Sodano; a step daughter, Susan Higgins; a step son, Jon Luther; and a sister, Linda Stone. He is also survived by his wife's children, Linda Vecchiotti, Paul Wolff, and Lisa Campbell; and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Barbara.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Mark J. Waidell
, 36 years of age of Clark Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania died unexpectedly on Monday, May 29, 2023, at home.

Born Thursday, December 4, 1986 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Mark D. and Betty Ann (Bubble) Waidell with whom he resided. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends survive Mark.

A 2005 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Mark was a talented cross country and track athlete. He matriculated to the University of Pittsburgh earning his Bachelor of Arts degree. An ardent music fan, Mark worked for WMGH radio station in Lansford for a number of years hosting his own afternoon radio show. Currently Mark was employed at Leiby's Ice Cream plant in the Lewistown Valley. Mark was a devoted fan of the band Phish, attending concerts up and down the East Coast with his friends, and was a WWE wrestling aficionado. Mark spent many Sunday evenings watching wrestling pay per view with family, and friends. A devoted animal lover, Mark enjoyed the companionship of his rescue poodles, Max and Molly who became a hit on Thursday's bring your pet events at Revere Brewery.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 o'clock A.M. on Saturday June 3, 2023 from the funeral home. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until time of services.

Interment St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Georgia Mazzuca, 72, of Pottsville, died peacefully Tuesday at home.

She was born September 29, 1950 in New York, NY, a daughter of the late Andrew and Jean Palmour Micklo.

She was a 1969 graduate of Pottsville Area High School.

Georgia was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.

She was preceded in death by Michael Mazzuca; her brothers, Barry, Gregory, and Larry Micklo; a sister, Andrea Gayeski;

Surviving are a son, Marcus Mazzuca, Pottsville; a daughter, Gina Mazzuca and her husband, David New, Mechanicsburg; 2 grandsons Don and George New; nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service of Remembrance will be held Friday at 11AM from St. John No. 2 Cemetery, Pottsville, with Deacon John E. Quirk officiating. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Georgia be made to the Pennsylvania Rivers Chapter of the American Red Cross, 3939 Broadway, Allentown, PA 18104.
