PennDOT has announced road work that will begin this week in Schuylkill County.
Pothole patching on Interstate 81 in Delano and Kline Townships
Pothole patching will begin on Interstate 81 south on Monday, June 5, 2023, between Exit 138 (McAdoo) and Exit 134 (Delano).
Work will take place between 7:00am and 3:00pm, with an estimated completion date on Thursday, June 8th, 2023.
Bridge Repair Begins in Washington Township
PennDOT has announced that the bridge over Swatara Creek on Sweet Arrow Lake Road/Paradise Road between Turkey Farm Road and Meadow View Road will be closed for repairs beginning on Monday, June 5, 2023.
The bridge is expected to be closed fully until Friday, August 11, 2023.
Residents who live locally will still be able to travel the roadway up to the bridge. Traffic can use Route 443 as a detour around the closure.
