USAC AMSOIL 410 Sprint Cars “Storm” into Big Diamond This Thursday

This Thursday night June 15th, the highly anticipated USAC AMSOIL National 410 Wingless Sprint Cars “EASTERN STORM” makes a visit to the Big Diamond Speedway.

The USAC 410 sprints always put on a show for the fans when they bring their exciting brand of racing to the track.

This will be the fifth time the USAC Wingless Sprints have made a stop in Schuylkill County. Previous winners include NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr (2007), Chris Windom has won on two occasions (2010 & 2012) and in their last visit in 2021 it was Tanner Thorson taking the win.

Leading the way into Big Diamond on Thursday is the “Macho Man” Brady Bacon who is the current leader in the battle for the USAC AMSOIL National points title. Brady currently leads Kyle Cummins by a mere eleven points. The stars of the USAC AMSOIL are endless with drivers such as Mitchell Moles, CJ Leary, Carson Garrett, Max Adams, Robert Ballou, Isaac Chapple, Daison Pursley, Jadon Rogers, Justin Grant, Kevin Thomas, and this year’s Chili Bowl winner Logan Seavey are just a few of the drivers that will be looking for the first-place prize of $6,000.

Sprinkle in some local talent like Briggs Danner, Alex Bright, Steve Drevicki, Joey Amantea and Jason Cherry and we have the makings of a show to be remembered. Just prior to this release being sent out, 2021 Big Diamond Modified champion Timmy Buckwalter has announced that he will be participating on Thursday night in a USAC Sprint car fielded by Paul Lotier Jr with help from Bob Hummer and Lou Cicconi.

Joining the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Cars on Thursday night will be the Quandel Concrete Modifieds. With two weeks off due to rain, the modifieds will be itching to get back to racing. Brett Kressley and Duane Howard are tied for the most wins with two apiece. Kressley is the current leader in the chase for the 2023 Quandel Concrete modified title over 2020 champion Mike Gular. Other winners this season include the all-time leader in modified wins Craig Von Dohren, Mike Gular and Louden Reimert. Veteran competitor and multi-time Big Diamond Champion Jeff Strunk has shown all season long that he has the speed to win but circumstances have prevented him from winning, could Thursday night be the night for Strunk to park the iconic Glenn and Bonita Hyneman owned No. 126 in Red White and Blue Autos victory lane?

Capping off the night Thursday night will be the Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunners. So far this season it has been a battle between Alex Schoffstall and Chuck Fayash. Schoffstall is the leader in wins and with one more win will tie the record for most Roadrunner wins at the speedway.

The racing action will get underway on Thursday night at 7:45 PM with hot laps starting at 7:15 PM

Pit gates will open Thursday night at 5:00 PM with the Grandstand gate opening at 5:30 PM

Pit admission is $35 for those with a Big Diamond License. Non-licensed Pit admission is $45.
