Flood Advisory Issued for Schuylkill County for Friday Afternoon


The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for Schuylkill County for Friday afternoon.
FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following
county, Schuylkill.

* WHEN...Until 3:00 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
 
- At 12:59 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Rainfall rates of greater than 3 inches per hour will contribute to rapid accumulation of rainfall.
