Schuylkill County Coroner Called to Crash on Gold Star Highway between Gilberton and Shenandoah

The Schuylkill County Coroner's Office was called to the scene of a crash on Route 924 in West Mahanoy Township early Monday.

The crash occurred just before 4:15am in the southbound lanes of Route 924 that involved one vehicle that ejected the 4 occupants inside.

Frackville's Good Will Fire Company members were returning from a fire in Shenandoah when they found the crash.

Three of the occupants were seriously injured and transported to the Redners Markets parking lot where they were flown to area hospitals.

Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner Andrew Szczyglak was called to the scene for the 4th victim in the crash.

The Pennsylvania State Police were at the scene investigating the crash.

As of 6:00am, Route 924 was closed in both directions between the Redners intersection in Shenandoah and Frackville.  The on ramp to Route 924 northbound from Gilberton was also closed.
