The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) closed to beach at Tuscarora State Park in Schuylkill County effective Thursday, July 6, 2023, because of resampling requirements.
As a precaution, the beach will remain closed until acceptable water samples are received. DCNR has posted signs at the beach.
Other activities at Tuscarora State Park, such as camping, picnicking, hiking and fishing are proceeding as usual.

This is the second time within a month that the beach has been closed. Both lakes at Tuscarora State Park and Locust Lake State Park were closed and reopened on June 28th, 2023.
