The Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven have released details and identified the victim in a fatal crash on Interstate 78 in Berks County early Monday morning.
TILDEN TOWNSHIP, BERKS COUNTY - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, around 3:30am on Monday, Troopers responded to a crash on Interstate 78 eastbound near mile marker 29.7 in Tilden Township, Berks County.
Troopers say a vehicle was traveling eastbound when the driver, Abion Khalifah, 22, of Philadelphia, lost control, leaving the roadway and struck the end of a guide rail.
The vehicle came to a stop approximately 50 feet off the roadway.
The Pennsylvania State Police say, Keira Martin, 21, of Darby, PA, died from injuries she suffered in the crash.
Khalifah was transported to an area hospital for observation.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
