HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER: Shenandoah Valley Dominates North Schuylkill in First Home Victory


On Wednesday evening at Shenandoah's Veteran's Memorial Stadium, the newly formed Shenandoah Valley Boys Soccer Team delivered a resounding performance against North Schuylkill, winning their first home game in style with a final score of 5-0.

This historic match marked the debut of the Shenandoah Valley Boys Soccer Team on their home turf, and the anticipation was palpable amongst the players and fans alike. From the first whistle to the final moments, the team showcased their determination and skill, leaving their supporters in awe.

The scoring extravaganza commenced in the first half, with Shenandoah Valley's Ayden Zamudio finding the back of the net at the 28:30 mark. The home crowd erupted in joy as their team took the early lead. Elvis Lara added to the excitement by doubling the score with a  strike at 12:37, making it 2-0. The relentless attack continued, and Sam Mentusky capitalized on an opportunity with 5:47 left in the first half, extending Shenandoah Valley's lead to 3-0 as they headed into halftime.

With a commanding 3-0 lead at the break, Shenandoah Valley maintained their momentum in the second half. Joan Menjivar showcased his skills with a goal at 25:19, increasing the lead to 4-0. The team's cohesive play and relentless effort were on full display, leaving North Schuylkill struggling to counter.

In the closing moments of the game, Kevin Gasca of Shenandoah Valley managed to sneak one past the North Schuylkill goalkeeper, sealing the victory with a final score of 5-0. The elation of the players and fans was palpable as the final whistle blew.

Following their triumphant performance, the Shenandoah Valley Soccer team displayed their appreciation for their dedicated fans. The players ran to the spectator side of the field, applauding and thanking the supporters who had cheered them on throughout the game.
